Worked on bikes yesterday. Lowered a #Kawasaki #versys. Removed battery acid damage from my #xt500 in preparation for new #cafe build.

The bike has come a hell of a long way from stock, the original twin cylinder has a DOHC with 8 valves and is capable of 110mph so it’s a surprise that we don’t see more cafe racer builds using this model as the platform.
The team at Karnage Kustoms pulled the XS500 to pieces and went over each element, reducing weight and tossing unnecessary parts, the bike is fitted with R-1 rear sets, a stack of cafe racer equipment from Dime City Cycles, the carburettors have been rebuilt and the engine has been thoroughly sorted.

We’ve had some fun on the little bike and now it’s time for someone else to enjoy having people point at the bike and smile.
We’ve put a new engine in, shaved the engine fins, changed the mirrors to lighter, smaller, black ones that suit it better and fabricated a guard to stop stones flying towards the velocity stacks. Everything is new so no $ to spend, just get on and ride.
Perfectly rideable bike around town and is registered until the end of 2012.
